technologies:
Servo Wave
The Servo Wave brake lever picks up a lot of braking distance at the beginning of its movement so that the pads can be guided to the brake disc with a small lever travel. After applying the brake pad, the force transmission factor increases rapidly. The greater part of the lever travel is thus still available to increase the braking force and to dose more targeted.

I-Spec
mounting system for the integration of shift and brake levers. It provides a tidier look, more space for the handlebar area and light weight.
Note: The I-Spec brake handles have a new intake from 2014 (version B). There is initially no compatibility with switching handles with old I-Spec recording. But these can be done with the help of the new I-Spec adapters ( SM-SL98-Bfor XTR, SM-SL78-B for XT and SLX, SM-SL82-B for Saint) with the new I-Spec brake handles.

One-way venting
One-way venting has been developed to quickly and easily prevent air from being in the hydraulic system. Shimano has optimized the brake fluid path throughout the system to prevent air bubbles from entering the system.
The brake fluid path in one direction only, together with the hopper for filling the mineral oil, allows for clean, trouble-free bleeding.

Ice-Tech
Fading the brake during prolonged uninterrupted operation, for example, in the downhill, affects the braking performance. Shimano has introduced brake discs and brake pads with Ice-Tech technology to provide cooling technology for consistently high braking performance. The brake disc has a three-layer stainless steel sandwich structure around an aluminum core. It radiates heat better and reduces, for example, a surface temperature of 400 ° C to 300 ° C. In addition, the brake pads optionally have cooling fins on. The construction of the disc in conjunction with the cooling fins results in a longer service life of the lining, less brake noise, less fading and a lower weight.
XTR, Saint, XT, SLX and ZEE calipers are combined with oversize ceramic pistons for lightweight, high stiffness and optimized heat dissipation. Oversize pistons transfer the hydraulic power directly to the brake pad. A ceramic material is used to prevent heat transfer and provide consistent, safe braking performance. This provides efficient braking power transfer without losses.

Original Shimano parts guarantees that all components work perfectly for optimum performance and maximum safety and longevity.
